1934年にアイルランドで創業したシューズファクトリー、PADMORE & BARNES。

アイルランドの自社工場において、500人以上のスタッフと同社周辺の何百名もの人々が各家庭で行う 独自の伝統的なハンドメイド技術によって、長きにわたり靴作りを行ってきました。

1967年には当時のマネージャーによってハンドステッチでフルモカシンの画期的なシューズが考案され、イギリスのCLARKS（クラークス）社へ提案。以降、CLARKSの提携工場としてイングランド製時代の代表的なモデルの生産を請け負ってきました。

その後、CLARKS社がコスト上の問題から生産をアジア圏に移しながらも、PADMORE & BARNESの名義で CLARKS時代の往年の名作をはじめとするオリジナルデザインの靴を変わらずアイルランド製で生産。

今日もこの伝統を守り続け、カジュアルシューズの製造においてはそのデザイン性、また革新と生産技術の先駆者として国際的に高い評価を得ています。

PADMORE & BARNES is a shoe factory founded in Ireland in 1934.
Over 500 staff and hundreds of people from the surrounding area have been making shoes in their own factory in Ireland for many years, using traditional handmade techniques in their own homes.
In 1967, a manager at the time devised a revolutionary hand-stitched, full-moccasin shoe, which he proposed to CLARKS in England.
