今期のテーマを象徴するアイテムとして、今回フジタカヌー研究所制作による、フォールディングカヤ ック”FOLBOT”を別注。
フォールディング可能なショックコードが入ったアルミフレームの構造はモダニズム建築的な要素があり、防水の素材やエッジの効いたシェイプ、ウェルダー製造などテクニカルディテールと組み合わせることでFORM FOLLOWS FUNCTIONを象徴するアイテムとして制作しました。

“FOLBOT HISTORY”
ジャック・キスナーは1933年、ロンドンにてカヤックブランド　”FOLBOT”　創業しました。 ヨーロッパで成功を収めた彼はアメリカのアウトドア市場拡大の可能性を信じ、1935年にアメリカに進出、ニューヨークを拠点として活動後、1955年にサウス・ カロライナ州のチャールストンに本社を移転。フォールディングカヤックのNO.1ブランドとしての地位を確立。今日ではアメリカでの事業の展開は終了しましたが、1933年の創業以来、25万艇以上のカヤックを製造し多くのアメリカ人に愛されたカヤックブランドとしてその名を刻まれています。

“MADE IN JAPAN”.
Each FOLBOT kayak is handmade. Developed and produced by Fujita Canoe Laboratory, a kayak manufacturer with 60 years of history.

Functional and robust military details are incorporated throughout. The MOLLE SYSTEM is used for the deck pad, which is a characteristic design.
 
 
 
 
“FOLBOT HISTORY”.
Jack Kistner founded the kayak brand “FOLBOT” in London in 1933. After achieving success in Europe, he believed in the potential of expanding the outdoor market in the U.S. and entered the U.S. market in 1935, based in New York City. He established himself as the No. 1 brand of folding kayaks. Today, the company has ceased operations in the U.S., but since its founding in 1933, it has manufactured more than 250,000 kayaks and has made a name for itself as a kayak brand loved by many Americans.

The FOLBOT TACTICAL FOLDING KAYAK is a 2-person boat with an overall length of 4.3m and a weight of 17.5kg.
