・Biwa Dyeing(Ivory)
Biwa is a plant with such strong pigmentation that the juice from its fruit can stain clothes. The green leaves produce unexpected pastel colors. The loquat has also been called the “Great Medicinal King Tree” since ancient times, and has been carefully cultivated in temples and other places as a plant with medicinal properties.
It is also believed to be good for health and skin.
・Taisayo-dyeing(Blue)
Taiseiyo-zome has long been used as a dye for indigo dyeing.
Originally, it is said to have antibacterial and antiviral effects, as well as to strengthen threads. Recently, it has been found to have a shielding effect against ultraviolet rays and is being researched.
・Fushizome Dyeing(Charcoal)
In the Heian period (794-1185), fushizome was used to dye black, and was also used as a medicine.
The natural black color has a deep taste unique to natural dyes.
It also has antibacterial properties and inhibits the growth of bacteria that cause bad odors.
(Because of its antibacterial and deodorizing properties, it was used for tooth blackening to prevent tooth decay and alveolar pyorrhea and to control bad breath.)
